Cmdr. Landric P. Walden

Cmdr. Walden is a native of Dallas, TX and is a 1999 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he received his commission and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a Master in Business Administration (2008) from the University of Maryland’s Smith School Of Business.
 
His first tour was with NMCB FOUR where he served as the Engineering Officer, Charlie Company Commander and Detachment OIC for Civic Action Team 04-27 in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. Walden then moved to Hawaii where he served as Office In Charge of CBU-413 and later Team Leader for ROICC Pearl Harbor. During his ROICC tour, he was recognized as the 2005 Federal Employee of the Year (Technical & Administrative). He was honorably discharged from active duty in the summer of 2006.
 
Walden began his federal career in 2009 working for NAVFAC Headquarters in the Public Works Business Line as the Program Manager for the Navy’s Infrastructure Condition Assessment Program. He left NAVFAC HQ in 2017 for Naples, Italy where he served as the Deputy Assistant Regional Engineer (DARE) for Commander, Navy Region EURAFCENT until SEP 2019.
 
He was recommissioned as a Civil Engineer Corps officer in the Navy Reserves in 2013. His first reserve unit was NAVFAC’s Contingency Engineering Unit (CEU). He was deployed to Afghanistan as an Individual Augmentee (IA) where he served as the Chief Staff Officer/Retrograde Officer for Special Operations Task Force SOUTHEAST (SOFT-SE). Walden was later assigned to COMNAVELSG’s Training Evaluation Unit (TEU) as an N5 Planner. He is currently recalled to active duty serving as the Executive Officer for Officer In Charge of Construction (OICC) Florence in Camp Lejeune, NC.
 
Walden is a registered professional engineer in the State of Hawaii and a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and various medals for unit commendations and deployments.
