Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southeast is the Systems Command that delivers and maintains quality, sustainable facilities; acquires and manages capabilities for the Navy’s expeditionary combat forces; provides contingency engineering response; and enables energy security and environmental stewardship. NAVFAC SE manages facility project planning and design and provides services for contracting, construction, leasing, environmental, maintenance, and contingency support required by the Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) for the Southeast Area of Responsibility (AOR).
The Jacksonville office manages operations on Navy installations from Charleston, SC to Corpus Christi, TX and south to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. NAVFAC professionals also acquire and dispose of real estate, manage and maintain the facilities on all Navy bases in the Southeast (SE) region, and oversees public-private venture (PPV) housing for military families.
NAVFAC Southeast Public Works Departments provide facilities support services to each Naval installation in their area of responsibility. Every day presents new and different challenges for the professionals of the Command. From planning a new full-service hospital to the construction of a state-of-the-art hangar facility, members of the Command make significant contributions to the Navy.

NAVFAC Southeast currently employs 1,849 civilians, 106 military and 68 contractors in twelve states from Charleston, S.C. to Kingsville, Texas and south to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The volume of business for fiscal year 2021 exceeded $2.5 billion with an annual payroll of $173 million. The headquarters, in Jacksonville, Florida, supports activities in over 20 field offices within the southeastern area of responsibility.
