Capt. Durika is a native of northern Virginia. She attended Carnegie Mellon University on an NROTC scholarship and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She holds a Master’s in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
Her expeditionary tours include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FORTY where she served as Operations Officer Detail Guam and as a Company Commander; Navy Expeditionary Combat Command as the Requirements Officer for the Naval Construction Force and Navy Expeditionary Logistics. She commanded Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit TWO ZERO TWO from 2015-2017.
Durika’s staff assignments include Aide to the Commander, NAVFAC Pacific; Assistant Regional Engineer Action Officer, Navy Region Hawaii; and Hampton Roads Assistant Operations Officer, NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic. Her facilities and acquisition assignments include Production Officer, Public Works Department Oceana; Deputy Public Works Officer, Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa; Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division Director, Public Works Department Naples, Italy; and most recently as Public Works Officer, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine.
Durika commenced her assignment as NAVFAC Southeast’s Executive Officer in August 2024.
Durika is a Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and an Acquisition Professional Member. Her personal awards include Meritorious Service Medals, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy Achievement Medals, and various campaign, unit, and service awards.
