CUCS (SCW/EXW) Lorin T. Asada

Senior Chief Asada is a native of Waianae, Hawaii, where he graduated from Waianae High School in 1996. On January 12th, 1998, he enlisted in the United States Navy and attended Boot Camp at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon graduation, he attended Builder "A” School in Gulfport, Mississippi.

His operational tours include serving as a Crew member/leader in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) FORTY; DET Operations Chief in Andros, Bahamas; and Platoon Commander in NMCB FIVE. Additionally, he served as Material Liaison Chief, Detail AOIC, Project and Seabee Technical Trainer Chief in NMCB FOUR, Charlie Company Operations Chief, and Detail AOIC for Guam/Sasebo in NMCB THREE. His nine deployments include Bosnia, Hawaii, Spain/Cape Verde, Africa, Andros, Bahamas, Guam (2), Djibouti, Africa, Okinawa, and Sasebo, Japan.

His shore assignments include Lead Petty Officer at Marine Corps Base Hawaii; Builder Advanced/Construction Inspector Instructor at NCTC, Port Hueneme; and Command Operations Chief at Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303, as well as Officer in Charge of Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303 DET Pearl Harbor.

Senior Chief Asada commenced his assignment as NAVFAC Southeast’s Command Senior Enlisted Leader in March of 2024.

His decorations include: Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7), National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Service Expeditionary Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Medal, GWOT Expeditionary and Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Battle "E” (5), Good Conduct Medal (9), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (9), M16 Expert Rifle Ribbon, and M9 Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
