Lt. Cmdr. Brian G. Mack

Lt. Cmdr. Mack is a native of South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science from The Citadel, in May 2008, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, in May 2020. He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in September 2008 as an Ensign in the Civil Engineer Corps.
 
Mack’s operational tours include platoon commander and detail OIC in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) SEVEN where he deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, and Montenegro; and project engineer, deputy flight commander, and engineering flight commander in the 823rd RED HORSE Squadron where he deployed to Honduras.
 
Ashore, his assignments include Assistant Public Works Officer at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, SC; Construction Manager at Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, MS; Assistant Public Works Officer at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa; Programming Analyst for Installations, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Programming Division (OPNAV N80); and Operations Officer, Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC) Florence.
 
Lt. Cmdr. Mack current serves as the Executive Officer, OICC Florence.
 
Mack is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina, a designated LEED Green Associate, a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a member of the Acquisition Professional Corps, and Level THREE qualified in Navy Public Works. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Air Force Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit awards, as well as Expert Pistol and Rifle Medals.
