Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic is located at the Lafayette River Annex (LRA) on Hampton Blvd. in Norfolk, Virginia. It is only a short distance from Norfolk International Airport and Interstate 64. NAVFAC Atlantic is in the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.
Building Entry Requirements: A DoD/DoN pass is required to enter the Lafayette River Annex. Those without DoD issued government IDs will need to have the guard contact their NAVFAC Atlantic host to come down and escort them onto the installation. If you are entering with a parcel that you also want to take out when you leave, see the guard and secure an exit pass. If you pick up property in the building, be sure to get a properly executed property pass so you will be permitted to take it out of the building when you leave.
Parking: Lafayette River Annex Parking is available in the back parking lot. A few visitor parking spaces are available near the entrance to each building. Ask your host about availability of these spaces. Be sure to park where there is no reserved marking on the pavement.
Driving Directions to Lafayette River Annex
From Norfolk International Airport: Follow airport exit signs, which puts you on Norview Avenue. Turn right onto the I-64 West on-ramp. Go about 2.5 miles and take the Naval Base Exit 276, which is left exit, onto I-564. Take the 1st exit (right), International Terminal Boulevard. Turn left at the 3rd traffic light onto Hampton Boulevard. The Lafayette River Annex is located on the left side of Hampton Boulevard just past the bridge (about 1 mile).
From Washington, D.C.: Follow directions to Richmond, Va. Prior to Richmond, take the I-295 loop around Richmond to I-64 East. Follow I-64 East to Norfolk and exit right unto I-564 towards the navy Base. Follow the directions in the paragraph above to the Lafayette River Annex where NAVFAC Atlantic is located.
