Cmdr. Patrick C. Chitty

Cmdr. Chitty is a native of Florence, Alabama. He attended Auburn University graduating in December 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida, in April 2004. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.
 
Upon commissioning, Chitty reported to Civil Engineer Corps Officers Basic School in Port Hueneme, California, where he completed training in July 2004. He served from August 2004 to November 2006 as an Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (AROICC) at ROICC Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In November 2006, he reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) SEVEN in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he served as Officer in Charge (OIC) for two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In June 2009, he was selected as Aide to Commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia. Following his Aide tour, he transferred to Public Works Department Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, where he served as Assistant Public Works Officer from August 2010 to August 2012. Following completion of Graduate School in August 2013, Chitty reported to THIRTIETH Naval Construction Regiment (30NCR) in Port Hueneme, California. While with 30NCR, he served as Strategy and Plans Officer as well as Lead Planner and Indonesia Country OIC for PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP 2014. In May 2015, Chitty was assigned as Operations Officer for NMCB ONE THREE-THREE in Gulfport, Mississippi, deploying in 2016 in support of five Combatant Commanders to Europe, the Indo-Pacific, Africa, South America, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. In 2017, he reported to NAVFAC EURAFCENT, where he served as Production Officer and transitioned to Assistant Operations Officer in July 2019 ensuring product and service delivery to five installations supporting five COCOMs.
 
Chitty reported to Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC) Florence as Operations Officer in July 2020.
 
He is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, registered Professional Engineer in the State of Virginia, and a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), Army Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
