Capt. Kendall Chapman is from New Orleans, LA and a 2001 graduate of the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He holds a Master of Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in Architectural Engineering.
Chapman’s operational tours include Junior Officer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133; N9A Naval Special Warfare Group 2; Bravo Company Commander, Amphibious Construction Battalion 1; N10 Directorate, Naval Special Warfare Development Group; Director Expeditionary Maritime Operations, THIRTIETH Naval Construction Regiment.
His shore assignments include assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Public Works Officer, NWS Yorktown; Public Works officer, NSA Panama City, FL; and Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
In May 2023, Chapman assumed duties as the Operations Officer for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic.
He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps, a Certified Energy Manager, and qualified Public Work Level III and as a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy Achievement Medal, Admiral Ben Moreell award (2020) and various campaign and unit awards.
