The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington workforce consists of more than 1,300 civilian and military personnel who provide a full range of facilities engineering products and services, with expertise in acquisition, public works, design & construction, environmental, real estate, planning and asset management. NAVFAC Washington serves its many supported commanders through public works departments at installations such as Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Naval Support Activity Annapolis, Naval Support Activity Bethesda, Naval Support Activity South Potomac, Naval Support Activity Washington, Marine Corps Base Quantico and the Resident Officer-In-Charge-of-Construction at Joint Base Andrews.
The command’s diverse supported commanders include 23 Navy Commands and 18 Department of Defense agencies, as well as the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force. Several unique functions are also resident in the command: the Special Programs Office of The White House Military Office, Naval Support Facility Thurmont facilities management and residential support for the Vice President of the United States.
